Past Events

The Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation is committed to bringing unique educational events to families in Southern California.  Our outreach includes schools and libraries as well as invitations to diverse populations in the San Diego area to bring their exhibits to our community exhibit hall.  We welcome and celebrate all those who make up the fabric of our city.

A Dog Called "Bum" Library Event

The Gaslamp Museum visited the Central Library and brought a slide show, stories and interactive crafts to the children and their parents.  They learned about San Diego's "community dog" and how he shaped the city in the early 1800's.

Echoes of Exclusion

The Seventh Grade Class of High Tech Middle Mesa were learning about the Japanese Interment Camps in San Diego.  They visited the Museum, took a tour of the Gaslamp Quarter and returned to showcase their own research and guided tour for families and guests.
